Production Planner/Scheduler

Job Summary:
iSpice Foods Canada is currently hiring for two vacancies in its supply chain department for Production Planner/Scheduler. The Production Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the production of goods in accordance with customer demand and company goals. The successful candidate will work closely with the production, logistics and warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure that materials, equipment, and personnel are available when needed to meet production schedules.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, sales forecasts and/or history, and available resources.
  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure that all production activities are completed on time and within budget, timing, and resources.
  • Communicate with purchasing team to ensure that materials and equipment are available when needed.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Analyze production data and make recommendations for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier information.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor related to planning,
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and their application in supply chain management
  • Experience in the food industry is an asset.
