Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Electrician to join our manufacturing facility’s maintenance team. The Facilities Electrician will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility’s electrical systems and equipment. This position requires strong technical expertise in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other maintenance and production personnel ti support iSpice Food’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Upgrades: Safely install and upgrade electrical components, machinery, and systems as required. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards during installations.

2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical malfunctions, breakdowns, and issues quickly and accurately. Implement effective solutions to restore electrical systems to optimal functionality, minimizing downtime.

3. Electrical Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the facility’s electrical systems, including electrical panels, circuits, motors, generators, lighting, and other electrical equipment.

4. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for electrical systems and equipment to proactively identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.

5. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, guidelines, and protocols related to electrical work. Promote a safety-first culture among team members and report any unsafe conditions.

6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications. Update equipment documentation and schematics as necessary.

7. Collaboration: Coordinate with other maintenance team members and production personnel to address electrical issues impacting production schedules. Support team members in their respective tasks and contribute to a seamless maintenance workflow.

8. Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duty to respond to emergency electrical issues outside of regular working hours, if required.

9. Electrical Inspections: Participate in regular electrical inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program or a relevant trade certification is highly desirable.

2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

3. Electrical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and controls, including PLCs. Familiarity with industrial automation systems is a plus.

4. Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work safely with electrical systems.

5. Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues effectively and implement appropriate solutions.

6. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, supervisors, and external contractors.

7. Physical Ability: Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.

8. Flexibility: Willingness to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

9. Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid electrician’s license and any additional certifications related to electrical work is an advantage.

Position Summary: The Facilities Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the plumbing systems within our manufacturing plant. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to plumbing, such as designing, implementing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to create and maintain the facility’s plumbing infrastructure in excellent working condition. The Facilities Plumber will work closely with the Facilities Supervisor and other maintenance personnel to contribute to a safe, efficient, and productive working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Upgrades: Install new plumbing systems for water and compressed air, steam and condensate, fixtures, and equipment as needed for facility expansion or upgrades, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and safety standards.
  • Plumbing System Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the plumbing systems throughout the manufacturing plant, including compressed air lines, steam and condensate lines, water supply lines, drain lines, and sewer systems, to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair plumbing-related problems, such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures, in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Pipefitting: Perform pipefitting tasks, including cutting, threading, and joining pipes to ensure proper flow and alignment of plumbing systems.
  • Backflow Prevention: Implement and maintain backflow prevention measures to safeguard potable water quality and prevent contamination.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for emergency plumbing repairs and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests to mitigate potential risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all plumbing-related work, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other relevant documentation methods.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards, ensuring that all plumbing work adheres to the necessary guidelines.

Maitenance Mechanic

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support (automated) packaging lines to allow for efficient and safe packaging of quality food products by strictly adhering to GMPs, OSHA and company’s SOPs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic packaging, milling and blending equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and programming of PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic as well as lock out/tag out
  • Partner with other mechanics, Line Leaders and operators to ensure understanding of operational issues and corrective actions to be taken while minimizing production down time.
  • Perform Line change overs, Set up, Start up, and complete all applicable documentation.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance including unplanned/emergency repairs.
  • Support Manufacturing, Engineering and Product Development departments with ongoing and new projects and their validations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hands-on maintenance high-speed industry.
  • Experience with over Wrappers, Labeling and high-speed packaging/powder filling equipment.
  • Excellent abilities and experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability and experience in reading schematics to troubleshoot.
  • Must have high speed packaging experience in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, consumer goods, or medical device industries.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of GMPs, SOPs, Lock Out Tag Out, GFSI, and OSHA regulations.

Position Description and Duties:

  • Read and interpret project plans, drawings, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks at hand. 
  • Determine appropriate fabrication equipment or method based on requirements from blueprints and drawings. 
  • Set up and operate a wide range of fabrication and welding equipment to include but not limited to band saw, cut off saw, slitting saw, rollers, shears, brake press, press, pipe, laser, plasma weld and various power tools. 
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use. 
  • Safely rig and move materials and equipment using fork trucks and overhead lifting devices in accordance with company procedures. 
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and perform simple maintenance and repair as required. 
  • Willingness to cross-train as back-up in other areas of manufacturing / fabrication facility as needed. 
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. 
  • 10 years proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role. 
  • ASME Code welding certification preferred. If not, must pass and maintain required certification. 
  • Must be proficient in the following processes:(GTAW) Gas Tig Arc Weld; (GMAW) Gas Mig Arc Weld; (FCAW Flux Core Arc Weld; (SMAW) Stick Metal Arc Weld. 
  • Strong mechanical skills and basic math/calculation skills required. 
  • Must be comfortable setting up and welding sheet metal as well as structural components made of stainless, steel, and aluminum. 
  • Must have the ability, confidence, and self-motivation to apply talents independently and with good judgment. 
  • Able to weld in multiple positions; Flat, Vertical, Horizontal, Overhead, etc. as required. 
  • Able to fit and weld pipe.
